About Sam

Mr. Sam Abdulazeez is a First-Class Economics graduate of the University of Ado Ekiti and a graduate of Brandeis International Business School, Massachusetts, United States. His professional background spans banking, telecommunications regulation and educational leadership, including seven years in banking and experience with the Nigerian Communications Commission.

With over two decades of professional experience, he brings academic distinction, organisational insight and practical leadership to his role as School Director of **ImpactHouse Model Schools, Mowe, Ogun State**, an institution serving more than **1,000 learners**.

His leadership centres on translating school vision into capable teachers, effective systems, disciplined learning and measurable student achievement. At the heart of his approach is a firm conviction that children can achieve outstanding results through quality teaching, thorough preparation and academic integrity.

**Academic Excellence with Public Recognition**

Under his leadership, ImpactHouse has established a strong record of achievement in external examinations. In the **2024 WASSCE, all 45 candidates earned A1 in Mathematics**, with every candidate achieving at least five distinctions.

This achievement received national newspaper coverage in **The PUNCH on 13 August 2024**, under the headline **[“WASSCE: Ogun school shines as 45 students score A1 in maths.”](https://punchng.com/wassce-ogun-school-shines-as-45-students-score-a1-in-maths/)** The feature documented the school’s results and recognised the achievement of its students and teaching team.

The school’s **2026 WASSCE results** demonstrate the breadth of this academic performance. Of the **69 candidates** presented:

- **42 earned distinctions in all nine subjects.**
- **23 earned distinctions in eight subjects.**
- **Three earned distinctions in seven subjects.**
- **One earned distinctions in six subjects.**

Every candidate achieved at least **six distinctions**, while more than **60% earned distinctions in all nine subjects**.

Across ten subjects—Physics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Financial Accounting, Geography, Agricultural Science, Literature in English, Marketing, Economics and Digital Technology—every candidate who sat the subject earned a distinction.

**Excellence Under External Scrutiny**

ImpactHouse’s exceptional performance also attracted additional examination scrutiny. Following an outstanding examination year, **WAEC sent three external invigilators from different regions on an unannounced visit to supervise the students during a subsequent examination**.

Under this heightened external supervision, the students went on to **surpass the preceding year’s performance**.

For Mr. Abdulazeez, this experience reinforces a principle central to his educational leadership: outstanding results can be achieved through effective teaching, disciplined preparation and honest student effort. His work provides a practical challenge to the assumption that exceptional examination performance must depend on schools assisting students improperly.

Behind these outcomes is a deliberate approach to teacher selection, instructional quality, academic monitoring and examination readiness. Extensive mock examinations and computer-based practice form part of a preparation system designed to build competence and confidence.

**Achievement Beyond Secondary School**

ImpactHouse’s academic impact extends into university education, with alumni attaining outstanding results, including a **5.0 CGPA at Covenant University** and a **4.75 first-year GPA at a federal university**.

These outcomes reflect Mr. Abdulazeez’s commitment to building foundations that sustain students beyond school examinations. His leadership combines high expectations with patient intervention, helping learners at different starting points make meaningful academic progress.

Among them is Gideon, who repeated SS1 at ImpactHouse and progressed through subsequent classes with close academic support before securing admission to a federal university and achieving a **4.75 GPA in his first year**. His progress demonstrates the value of firm standards, targeted support and sustained cooperation between school and parents.

Beyond his professional and educational leadership, Mr. Abdulazeez serves as a **pastor in Deeper Life Bible Church**.

**Leadership and Contribution to SMI**

Mr. Abdulazeez’s areas of focus include strategic planning, teacher development, instructional leadership, performance management, quality assurance and continuous school improvement. He places particular emphasis on aligning a school’s vision with the people, practices and accountability required to deliver it.

At the **School Management Institute**, he serves as a mentor on **Vision Dynamics and Framework for Academic Excellence**, bringing practical experience in building a school culture where ambitious expectations are supported by deliberate action.

His work challenges school owners to examine what their vision produces: the quality of classroom teaching, the progress of struggling learners, the integrity of examination outcomes and the achievements students sustain at university.

Through his leadership at ImpactHouse and mentorship at SMI, Mr. Abdulazeez demonstrates how clear vision, capable people, consistent systems and unwavering standards can create the conditions for academic excellence.
